How to Search the Camden County Court Docket
Start with Missouri Case.net. Camden County has no separate county database; Case.net is the statewide system that carries its court docket. You can search by litigant name, case number, filing date, or scheduled hearings and trials. A full case number works best. When a location box appears, pick the 26th Judicial Circuit and then Camden County.
Read every match with care. Check the county, case type, filing date, and case style before assuming a shared name means the right case. Once the Camden County case number is open, the Case Header, Parties, Scheduled Hearings, and Docket Entries tabs hold the details. If the statewide result stays confusing, the Camden County Circuit Clerk can confirm a case number or explain a public-access gap.
- Open Case.net and choose the search method that fits the information available.
- Select the 26th Judicial Circuit and Camden County for a location-specific search.
- Enter a full case number, or enter a litigant name or relevant date range.
- Open a matching case only after verifying its county, type, and filing date.
- Review Docket Entries and Scheduled Hearings, then contact the Camden County Circuit Clerk for an official copy.
Camden County Case.net Docket Searches
Different questions call for different Case.net searches. A name search turns up publicly indexed litigants. A case-number search works when a name is common or protected. Filing-date searches narrow a stretch of activity, and Scheduled Hearings & Trials Search targets upcoming events. Every result still answers to the Camden County court system's security rules.
The official Missouri Courts Case.net interface makes the point plain. Choose your method first. Filter by county second. And hold on to that Camden County case number.
| Search route | Best use | Camden County check |
|---|---|---|
| Litigant Name Search | A publicly indexed party | Verify case style and 26th Circuit location |
| Case Number Search | A known complete number or citation | Select Camden County when offered |
| Filing Date Search | A defined period of filings | Narrow by location and case type when available |
| Scheduled Hearings Search | A future court event | Use the local circuit and a current or future start date |
The Camden County Circuit Clerk page spells out the office's Case.net route and its public-record duties.
The Camden County Circuit Clerk points the public toward Case.net for docket searching. The judicial files themselves, along with local confirmation, stay with the clerk's office at the courthouse.
What a Court Docket Shows
Think of a Camden County court docket as a chronological register. It is not the whole case file. Missouri Court Operating Rule 4 sets what the automated docket must keep. The list covers county and location, case type and number, parties, attorneys of record, filed documents, and judicial actions. Case.net shows the public share of those entries through Case Header and Docket Entries views.
Read the entry text closely. A setting only announces a court date. A signed judgment or order records an actual judicial act. When a Docket Entry carries a hyperlink, an attached document may be viewable. Access depends on the current Camden County user. Plain text means either no attachment or restricted access. It does not mean a Camden County document vanished.
| Case Header | Case number, style, court or location, type, filing date, parties, and status. |
|---|---|
| Docket Entries | The dated register of filings, settings, orders, and other court activity. |
| Scheduled Hearings | Future date, time, judge, location, and setting type when publicly displayed. |
| Documents | Public attachments available through a hyperlinked entry and File Viewer. |
| Disposition | A final outcome or status, distinct from a reset or a scheduled hearing. |
Camden County ECASE Docket Access
An ECASE is simply an electronic case with no paper file behind it. Its Camden County docket still appears in Case.net. But an electronic document will not always open remotely. Then the courthouse public-access terminal may be the only route for a public user. Attorneys on secure Case.net and ordinary Camden County users see different document sets.
Missouri's File Viewer help walks through how Docket Entries, Categories, Documents, and the ECASE marker fit together. It helps most when the entry is visible. The Camden County document may not be.
On the official schedule, the 26th Circuit joined the remote-access implementation group no later than October 1, 2023. Older public electronic documents may still require a trip to the courthouse terminal.
Bring the Camden County case number plus the document's name or date to the Circuit Clerk counter. Ask three things. Does the entry have an attachment? Is it restricted? And do you want a plain, certified, or authenticated copy? The clerk posts no current Camden judicial copy-fee schedule. Ask for a fee estimate before ordering.
Which Courts Keep Dockets in Camden County
Camden County sits inside Missouri's unified circuit-court system. It belongs to the Missouri Circuit Court, Twenty-Sixth Judicial Circuit, alongside Laclede, Miller, Moniteau, and Morgan Counties. What separates cases here is usually the division and case type, not a county-court versus district-court split. The Camden County Circuit Clerk keeps the judicial records for the circuit system.
Missouri Courts' hierarchy material slots circuit courts between the appellate courts above them and their own specialized divisions below.
Use the hierarchy for routing. It keeps a trial-court docket from being confused with an appellate or federal one.
| Court | Docket Covers | Where to Search |
|---|---|---|
| Circuit divisions | Major civil matters and felony-level circuit cases | Case.net and the Camden County Circuit Clerk |
| Associate divisions | Associate civil, small claims, lower-level criminal, and assigned matters | Case.net and the Camden County Circuit Clerk |
| Family, juvenile, and probate | Specialized judicial matters with varying access limits | Case.net public portion and Circuit Clerk |
| Municipal divisions | City ordinance and traffic cases | Case.net, city channels where documented, and Circuit Clerk |
Camden County Dockets and Appeals
Appeals from a Camden County circuit judgment usually head to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District. The Missouri Supreme Court takes over only when it has jurisdiction. The trial docket often shows the trail. Look there for a notice of appeal, legal-file or transcript entries, a transfer, a mandate, or a disposition. With the appellate case number in hand, the statewide system takes over the search.
The Southern District's official jurisdiction page lists Camden County. That helps separate a local trial result from an appeal record.
The Southern District reference maps the appellate route. For the Camden trial docket itself, the Camden County Circuit Clerk remains the source.
Finding Court Dates and Settings
For a single Camden County docket, the Scheduled Hearings tab is the best free starting point. The newest docket entry works nearly as well. The statewide Scheduled Hearings & Trials Search adds another angle. It can pull a judge's or attorney's schedule for one day. It can also cover seven. Follow the official instructions on the start date, which must be current or future, or the search will not run cleanly.
Read a settings entry with care. A reset, a continuance, a passed setting, or a "continued to" line is only a scheduling note. It is not a disposition of the case. That latest setting is still your best public clue about a Camden County court date. For anything binding, the Camden County Circuit Clerk or direct notice from a party controls. The Camden County court calendar details walk through both the confirmed search and the counter routes.
Camden County Court Docket Terms
Local rules for the 26th Circuit add calendar context for Camden County dockets. They cannot replace a setting tied to your specific Camden County case. Court convenes at 9 a.m. unless otherwise specified. Regular Camden terms open on the first Mondays of February, May, August, and November, and local law-day schedules may shift that pattern by division or by month.
Twenty-Sixth Circuit local-rule material is the source behind these framework details. Before you rely on any term date, confirm the actual courtroom and time through the Camden County docket or the Camden County Circuit Clerk.
- Setting
- A scheduled court event, such as an arraignment, motion, hearing, or trial.
- Continuance
- A postponement that moves a matter instead of resolving it.
- Disposition
- The recorded outcome or final status of a Camden County case or charge.
- Mandate
- An appellate court's formal action returned to the trial court.
Note: A calendar framework can explain a Camden County docket pattern. But the newest setting on a specific Camden County case controls its reported future court date.
Public Access to Dockets
Missouri treats court records as presumptively public, with two governing frameworks. The Missouri Sunshine Law, Chapter 610, opens government records generally. Missouri Court Operating Rules run the statewide judicial-record system and its security levels. Not everything is open, though. Confidential, sealed, expunged, juvenile, mental-health, and protected-party material may be withheld from a public Case.net view. Some of it may require authorization instead.
When part of a record is closed, Missouri law calls for segregating closed portions. That applies where possible. A name search that returns nothing does not prove the record does not exist. It is never a reason to chase restricted information. Ask the Camden County Circuit Clerk about your options. A public inspection, a terminal view, or a properly limited request may be available instead.
Key Rules:
Missouri Sunshine Law §610.011 states the policy favoring liberal construction for open government.
Missouri Sunshine Law §610.023 addresses custodians and requests for public records.
Missouri Sunshine Law §610.024 requires separation of closed and open portions where feasible.
Court Operating Rule 4 governs uniform judicial recordkeeping and access controls.
Camden County Remote Docket Records
Remote access and courthouse access work as a pair. Case.net gives the remote view, and the public terminal at the courthouse fills the gaps. Missouri's expanded remote-document model covers eligible public documents filed on or after July 1, 2023. It takes effect once a circuit implements it. In Camden's 26th Circuit, older electronic documents may sit on the public terminal. They may not be online at all.
The official remote-public-access schedule shows which implementation group Circuit 26 belongs to. Remember that access is the point, not a promise of full disclosure. Security level, case type, and a filing's redactions still matter. Together they decide what any Camden County docket document reveals.
The official judicial supplement is historical material. Even so, it shows why Camden's system pairs higher-volume associate work with circuit-level records in one courthouse structure.
The Clerk and Docket Records
One elected office holds most of the Camden County court docket. That office is the Camden County Circuit Clerk, not the separately elected County Clerk. The Circuit Clerk keeps Circuit Court records. Coverage runs across civil, criminal, traffic, juvenile, adoption, probate, protection-order, jury, and municipal-division matters. Filings range from small claims to large civil cases. Traffic tickets run up through felonies. The office also serves as the local route for municipal cases. Those come from Camdenton, Linn Creek, Village of Four Seasons, and Sunrise Beach.
When you need something in hand, the clerk's counter is the practical stop. Confirm a Camden County case number there. Pull a Camden County docket sheet. Request a document held in ECASE, or order a certified copy. The office publishes no current Camden-specific schedule of judicial copy fees, so ask first. Before you place the request, get the details. Cover the record type, page count, certification cost, payment method, and delivery estimate.

Camdenton, Village of Four Seasons, and Sunrise Beach take a different route. Those cities send judicial records through the Camden County Circuit Clerk. Lake Ozark wrote the exception into a 2024 ordinance. That ordinance sends municipal violations to associate circuit judges starting February 15, 2025. A Miller County courtroom may be involved. Camden County Municipal Court Dockets
The city printed on your ticket may not be the city that holds the docket. Camden County municipal cases do not all sit in one building or with one clerk. Case.net remains the verified statewide record route, whatever the city. Osage Beach posts its own calendar and payment instructions. Its Case.net Docket Entries still form the fuller judicial register. For Camdenton, Village of Four Seasons, and Sunrise Beach, one detail does the routing. The Camden County Circuit Clerk's municipal duties are the key. Lake Ozark needs a separate venue check. Its ordinance can place municipal cases before 26th Circuit associate judges. It may use a Miller County courtroom. The official Lake Ozark ordinance sets out that route. The city runs no separate live docket-search portal, so rely on the ordinance and Case.net.
Federal cases do not appear in Camden County dockets. They belong to the Western District of Missouri, and Case.net does not carry them at all.
The federal court reference helps keep two systems straight. It separates a federal court contact from the Camden County Circuit Clerk's state-court records route.
Camden County Federal Docket Searches
Federal dockets live outside Missouri Case.net entirely. Civil, criminal, bankruptcy, and appellate records all follow this rule. Camden County sits in the Jefferson City or Central Division. That division belongs to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. Federal docket access runs through PACER and CM/ECF. The Camden County Circuit Clerk is not that route. PACER's official search information explains the account-based system and its published access pricing.
A federal case can look like a missing Camden County court docket. It really sits somewhere else. PACER is the reference point here. If your paperwork names the United States District Court, that is your answer. The Western District of Missouri covers the Christopher S. Bond Courthouse in Jefferson City. That federal route is separate from a state Circuit Camden County court record. The two systems simply do not match. A federal case number, court abbreviation, filing system, and payment structure can all differ from what a Camden County court docket uses. So read the notice or case header first. Copy the Camden County court name exactly before you search anywhere. When the record identifies the Missouri Circuit Court, Twenty-Sixth Judicial Circuit, go back to Case.net and the Camden County Circuit Clerk. When it identifies the United States District Court instead, the answer differs. Use PACER or the Western District's official contact information.
Map and Directions to the Camden County Justice Center
The Camden County Circuit Clerk keeps the 26th Judicial Circuit's civil, criminal, traffic, juvenile, probate, and municipal case files at the Camden County Justice Center, 1 Court Circle, on the county government campus in Camdenton. The Circuit Clerk's public counter is Suite 8. The same campus building holds the County Clerk in Suite 2 and the Sheriff's Records Bureau in Suite 13, so the suite number matters as much as the street address once you're inside.

Visitors pass through a magnetometer at the Justice Center entrance, and Court Security may run packages, purses, and clothing through an x-ray machine or request a personal body scan. The county does not publish a parking diagram, floor plan, or ADA/interpreter procedure, so calling the Circuit Clerk before a visit is the best way to confirm those details along with the public-access terminal's location.
